Overview
RepairGizmo provides residential and commercial appliance repair across New York City and surrounding service areas. The business needed a WordPress website that could explain its services, establish trust, and let customers book and pay for a diagnostic visit online.
The Challenge
A repair customer needs practical answers before booking: Is their area covered? What appliances can be serviced? What does the diagnostic fee include? The website needed to answer those questions clearly and connect customers to the appropriate service without making them work through a conventional product-shopping experience.
Our Solution
We developed and refined a custom WordPress theme, bringing the service information, supporting imagery, and booking journey into a consistent experience across desktop and mobile.
- A clearer homepage: Organized service options by location and service type, refined the messaging and imagery, and presented appliance coverage, supported brands, customer reviews, and frequently asked questions.
- Service-focused WooCommerce pages: Created a dedicated layout for service bookings, with coverage information, diagnostic-fee explanations, date selection, and a clear booking action. Physical products retained their separate product layout.
- Online booking and payment: Set up and refined the WooCommerce booking and checkout experience so customers could schedule and pay for a diagnostic visit, with clearer expectations about separate parts and labor charges.
- Mobile usability and trust: Improved mobile navigation and responsive layouts, added customer-brand displays, and made supporting service information easier to scan.
- Measurement: Configured Google Analytics and Google Search Console to support ongoing traffic and search-performance review.
The Result
In its first three months after launch, the website received 60+ new paid diagnostic bookings. Customers were using the site to take the next step from reading about a service to scheduling and paying for a visit.
The project connected the public-facing website to a practical booking process, while keeping service content manageable in WordPress.
